Where Were the Body?

"God is depending on us to get His work done on earth." Pastor Clyde

"If the whole body were an eye, where were the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where were the smelling? But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased him. And if they were all one member, where were the body? But now are they many members, yet but one body." 1 Corinthians 12:17-20 KJV

As Christians, we live our whole life to please the Lord. The Bible calls the family of Believers the Body of Christ. In His Body there are many members. Each member has a different function, and EVERY member is important. There is no unnecessary role in the Body of Christ. When we give our all to properly fulfilling the position God has called us to, we are pleasing our Father. God finds no pleasure in the ear that refuses to listen, but would rather be the mouth. He takes no delight in the finger who is more interested in being the nose, rather than being part of the hand. We all have an important part to play and we must do our part to the best of our abilitiy. God takes delight in obedience and God takes delight in order.

JESUS NEEDS US. Without His Body working in the earth, the will of God cannot come to fruition. We are here to bring the will of the Father to pass. That is why it is imperative that we are sensitive to the Voice and movement of the Holy Spirit. It is impossible to know the will of God without knowing the WORD of God. Our life hinges on the Scripture we know and act upon by faith! Today, make the committment to complete your part in the Body of Christ. If you are the eye than view everything as Jesus does. If you are the vocal chords, sing praises to God always. If you are the little toe, you do your best to keep the feet of Christ steady and balanced. Every member has a valuable part to play.
