This is Why He Came

“And the WORD became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.” John 1:14 NKJV

It’s one thing for someone greater than us to look down at our situation and feel sad for us. It’s another thing for the God of the universe to see the state of humanity and enter into it Himself, just to show us that He loves us, and that there is a better way. From Genesis to Malachi, there is a constant longing that God has to live with His people. But time and time again, we choose sin over Him. He shows His patience and long-suffering in that He created a plan for us to be with Him again, even after we messed up.

God knew that after Adam sinned, he had given up the rights of authority to satan, allowing satan to become the god of the system of this world. That system tied us down and kept us bound to things that killed us slowly. God wanted our freedom. He was eager to show us that there is a better life. So He sent the only Son He had and God Himself walked for 33 years on this earth, enduring the same temptations we go through, living with the same feelings and emotions that we have; knowing what it was like to be hungry, thirsty, exhausted, on the verge of quitting. Jesus knew all this. He still remembers what it was like. He went through all that to bring to us the Kingdom.

Princess, Christmas has nothing to do with decorated evergreen trees, snow or busy shopping malls. Christmas has everything to do with Jesus Christ coming down to earth and showing us the Kingdom of God He showed us that we can live in a perfect Kingdom established on righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Ghost! We don’t have to live as slaves to the things of this world! We can be reborn free, adopted into the family of God; royal by birth!

THIS IS CHRISTMAS! THIS IS WHY HE CAME!
