Burn Fearless

“And for me, that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.” Ephesians 6:19-20 NKJV

The Holy Spirit is speaking through Apostle Paul to us in this Scripture. Paul is one of those who burned strong for God. He gave up all he had and all that he was so that God could be glorified through his life and his death. More than that, Paul burned fearless. At the time of writing this letter to the Christians in Ephesus, Paul was in chains because he was proclaiming the Gospel and certain people hated him for that. Yet, look at what he is asking prayer for – boldness! Paul has literally put his life on the line countless times by now, and still he is asking for more boldness to make the most of every opportunity to be a witness to anybody and everybody.

Paul was so focused on the prize of the high calling in Jesus Christ that nothing else mattered. Whether people agreed or disagreed with his message, Paul knew that the Gospel had to be preached, even if he had to die, he was willing. He lost his life to Jesus and he found it in Christ.

“For you died to this life, and your real life is hidden with Christ in God.” Colossians 3:3 NLT

Princess, if you have decided to burn for God and lose your life to Jesus, than you are going to have to become unafraid of what people will say against you. We have to be so focused on our calling that no one can move us out of God’s will for our lives. We’ve got to burn bright. We’ve got to burn sweet. We’ve got to burn constant and we’ve got to burn fearless.
